[Macau] 3* Jade Dragon 譽瓏軒

Can't believe it took me this long to finally visit Jade Dragon in Macau which was elevated to 3 Michelin Stars in the 2019 Michelin Guide. I've long heard about the stellar Cantonese cuisine here and it finally took an impromptu lunch after the Michelin event last month to rectify the situation. The meal turned out to be incredible from the top-notch ingredients, execution to the flavors - every star is truly well deserved. We ended up trying many of the signatures at the restaurant from dim sum to barbecue items especially the suckling pig roll which has to be ordered in advance. In my opinion, Jade Dragon is one of the top Cantonese restaurant there is - period.

We started our lunch with a few exquisite dim sum dishes recommended by Chef Au-Yueng:

Traditional Shunde Fish Soup with Fish Maw and Caviar

The addition of caviar to the fish soup here shows that the chef is not afraid to branch out and use international ingredients as long as it works - which it does.

I'm usually not a fan of cooked oysters but this was an exception.

This was the dish I wanted to try the most and it didn't disappoint - in fact, this was hands down the best version of suckling pig stuffed with glutinous rice I've ever had!
