[Taiwan: Taipei] Runbing Feast at Mountain and Sea House 山海樓

Rating: 3.75/5

A memorable meal at 1* Mountain and Sea House 山海樓 to try its Runbing Feast (潤餅宴)! The origins of runbing or popiah can be traced back to a thousand years ago where it was offered in rituals to the God of Spring. Every family across Taiwan has their own way of eating it - in the north, it is common to wrap it with fried red yeast pork while in the south, local seafood is used instead. For our runbing feast here, we tasted the rich bounties of both Taiwan’s mountains and oceans with the Drunken Lobster Seafood Platter and Fried Red Yeast Tomahawk Pork Chop along with various condiments such as peanut powder, pickled mustard, duck egg yolk, dried bean curd, sweet chili sauce and more!
