[Hong Kong] Beef & Liberty Pop-up at PMQ
Beef & Liberty is setting up a pop-up shop at PMQ from now until September, and every Friday and Saturday night will be filled with live music, burgers and craft beers! I went to check out the scene last Friday night and the space is huge with one room for placing the orders and three rooms for dining. Each of the rooms had been decorated with different graffiti and street art plus a center stage for the live music which comes with a different line-up of DJ's each night. There were break dancers performing on the night I went so it was definitely a fun-filled night listening to hip hop and watching breakdancing while chowing down favorites from Beef & Liberty's menu!
The menu is short and sweet with appetizers, burgers, salad, sides and desserts for food and soft drinks, wine, craft beers and cocktails on the drinks side.
I ended up trying all three appetizers including the Beef Brisket Croquettes ($58) with kimchi mayo, Spicy Corn off the Cob ($42) with Jalapeno and crunchy dahl, and spiced and battered Crispy Carrots ($38) which was my favorite with its simple and satisfying flavors!
For the burger, I went for the Notorious P.I.G. ($98) with Wicks English pulled pork which was well-balanced with a delicious apple slaw and crunchy cracklings. Besides the pork burger, the all-time favorite Bacon Cheese is also available and vegetarians are not left out with a beetroot and goat cheese option!
The pop-up will be open Sunday to Thursday at 12-9pm and Friday to Saturday at 12-11pm with live music performances every Friday and Saturday night.
